A World Recorder - Master Sachin

Tendulkar is already sitting on a mountain of records and this was another feather in his crown. What an innings it was. During the last overs of the innings, he was looking a bit tired but still running very well and converting one’s into two’s.
Sachin Tendulkar is going to fly high quite literally and give Top Gun a new meaning. The master blaster is soon to become an officer of the Indian Air Force with the Air Headquarters having finalised plans to make him an honorary Group Captain and the President having given her nod for the same on Wednesday.
It's the first time a cricketer will get this honour. There was considerable debate as to what rank the great batsman should be given. Wing Commander and Squadron Leader were deemed too junior for the national icon, who has 20 years of top class cricket under his belt..

A Great Cricket Achiever - Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar is an Indian Cricketer, often regarded as the greatest batsman in the history of cricket. He set a new record in 2008 for the highest number of runs in Test cricket history.
Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar born April 24, 1973 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, is an Indian cricketer widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. In 2002, Wisden ranked him the second greatest Test batsman of all time next only to Sir Donald Bradman, and the second greatest one-day international (ODI) batsman of all time next only to Sir Viv Richards.
I can never forget debutant Sachin Tendulkar walking into bat as a 16-year-old in the Karachi Test of 1989. I was fielding at mid-on as Wasim Akram tested him with pace and movement, Yes, Tendulkar was beaten but the confidence with which he tried to drive the ball was amazing.

A Cricket Don - Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar, the little Master has done it yet again... unbeaten 200 runs in 147 balls. It was a treat to watch Sachin him bat. altought scoring a record double century after the 199th run took almost 2 overs, in turn increasing the heartbeats of millions of people across India.
The fact is that the cricket crazy mass of India have been so spoilt by the Masters’ exploits and thus they expect so much from him. The more he has succeeded, the more has been expected. This is the reason they are not ever satisfied by him. I doubt if there has been any player in the world, in any sport, who has been subjected to such intense and back breaking pressure. Sachin has taken all those things in his stride. This was the reason Shane Warne regarded Sachin as the mentally toughest batsman he ever bowled to.

Sachin Tendulkar Sets World Record for Most Number of Cricket Test Match Playing World Records (169th Cricket Test Match)

Sachin Tendulkar on Tuesday became the most-capped player in Test cricket history and now has almost every batting record to his name. Commencing this piece with the most striking part of cricket history re-written by the maestro, Sachin is the first batsman in history to score over 50 centuries and most overall runs in international cricket (ODIs, Tests and T20s) that currently stand at 31,350, leaving behind his closest rival Ricky Ponting by 5,851 runs.

Sachin Tendulkar:
1. is 36-years old and just 5′ 5″ (170cm) tall, proving that dynamite does come in small packages.
2. is also known as the Little Master, Master Blaster, The Master, The Little Champion
3. is the second greatest Test batsmen next to Donald Bradman and second greatest ODI batsman next to Viv Richards. Anybody want to argue?
4. has more centuries in either form of the game than any other batsman.
5. is the highest run scorer in both forms of the game.
6. is the first batsman to score 12,000 runs in test cricket.
7. is the first player to score 10,000 runs in one-day internationals
8. is the first player to cross every subsequent 1000-run mark in ODI cricket history

Sachin Tendulkar- A Ever Shining Star

In the 2nd one day international against South Africa at Roop Singh Stadium in Gwalior on Wednesday, Sachin Tendulkar scored its first double century (200 not out) making India proud once again.
It’s a remarkable achievement in the history of cricket, as none other player has succeeded in this. With this marvelous score Sachin has left back the record of “Saeed Anwar”who scored 194 against India in Chennai May 1997 and Zimbabwe’s Charles Coventry(194) against Bangladesh.
Tendulkar started as an opener and bat through all the 50 overs. His superb 200 includes 3 sixes and 25 fours, and was able to complete this in just 147 deliveries.
With the help of this score India put up a score of 401 runs infront of South African team, and won the second ODI.South Africa, which lost the first match by a single run were all out on 248 runs.

A Cricket Mountain-Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar created history by slamming the first double hundred in a one day international against South Africa at the Captain Roop Singh Stadium in Gwalior today. The master at almost 37 age, who has been ruling the game of cricket for over two decades, has become the first batsman in the history of ODI cricket to hit a double hundred. Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar added another feather to his cap. In this match against South Africa, Sachin has scored 200* (notout) there were 25 fours and 3 sixes. He made this run at a strike rate of 136.05. India scored 401/3.
He became the highest run-scorer in the history of Test cricket today, eclipsing Brian Lara's record during India's match against Australia. The batsman, accorded demi-god status in his country, required 15 runs to pass Lara's total of 11,953 and he finally got there with a push to third man for three off the bowling of Peter Siddle to send the home supporters into raptures. He was eventually dismissed for 88 as India fought back in the afternoon of the second Test.

Sachin: A Technically ferrocious Six hitter who crosses boundaries for more than 2 decades

The stifling suspense and the prolonged wait finally came to an end as sachin
Tendulkar on Friday emerged as the highest run-accumulator in Test cricket
's history, staking a legitimate claim as the best batsman cricket has known since Don Bradman, both aesthetically and statistically.
After his mission incomplete in Bangalore, Tendulkar redeemed himself in Mohali in his 152nd Test and West Indian legend Brian Lara was toppled from the highest Test run-accumulator's pedestal.
1973: Born April 24, Mumbai.
1988-89: Scores 100 not out in his first first-class match for Bombay against Gujarat in the Ranji Trophy becoming the youngest cricketer to score a century on his first-class debut.

Mumbai Super hero Sachin

Sachin Tendulkar is the god of cricket. The 36-year-old bludgeoned 25 fours and three sixes in his fearless knock as India reached an astonishing 401 for the cost of three wickets from their 50 overs. The previous highest score in an ODI was 194 not out, compiled by Charles Coventry for Zimbabwe against Bangladesh last year, and by Pakistan’s Saeed Anwar against India back in 1997, and Tendulkar passed that mark in the 46th over before he set about reaching his 200.
When Tendulkar scored his maiden century in 1990, he was the second youngest to score a century. Only Mushtaq Mohammad had scored a century at a younger age by 1990. Tendulkar’s record was bettered by Mohammad Ashraful in 2001/02 season. The record for previous youngest Indian centurion was held by Kapil Dev.
* Tendulkar’s record of five centuries before he turned 20 is a current world record.

Sachin : Indian Arnold in the Cricket world

Cricket God Sachin Tendulkar once again proved that he is a God of Cricket. Once again Sachin made his presence felt. Once again the little champion showed his class. Once again he did in Colombo for what he is renowned all over the world, once when every one stranded India in the lurch the man who came to India’s national pride’s rescue turned out to be the Batting Maestro Sachin Tendulkar.
Sachin Tendulkar make a new history of cricket world, Sachin Tendulkar is the first man of the cricket world, who cross 200 run in one day international match. Sachin Tendulkar make this history in 24 February,2010 against South Africa. For this india were able to give 401 run target to south africa.
So in this way Sachin Tendulkar is the greatest Player of the entire Cricket History. I think player of his caliber will never ever take birth on this earth again. He is a true gem. He is a diamond who has spread its shine all over the world and glittered the record book of the cricket with his glorious batting.

Cricket Ultimate Star Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar was the third youngest debutant (16 years 205 days). Mushtaq Mohammad (15 years 124 days) and Aaqib Javed (16 years 189 days) debuted in Test matches at a younger age than Tendulkar. Since then, there have been two players who were younger than Sachin on their Test debut: Hasan Raza of Pakistan (14 years 227 days), the current youngest debutant, and Mohammad Sharif of Bangladesh (15 years 128 days).
Tendulkar is the only batsman to score over 2500 runs against any opponent (Australia). Tendulkar is also the only batsman to achieve the feat runs against 2 opponents - Sri Lanka is the other team.

Sachin Tendulkar with Sourav Ganguly hold the world record for the maximum number of runs scored by the opening partnership. They have put together 6,271 runs in 128 matches that includes 20 century partnerships and 21 fifty run partnerships.[14] The 20 century partnerships for opening pair is also a world record.

The Masterblaster Sachin Tendulkar

Between April 1990 and April 1998, Tendulkar played 185 consecutive matches - a record.

He is the first to appear in 400 innings in ODI matches.

In his first two ODIs, the runmachine failed to score.

Yet, the murmurs about his real stature, his real achievements go on unabated. Even on this Community we have had people suggesting that Sachin is more hype than performance, more myth than reality. At the other end of the spectrum I hear NDTV India gushing that Sachin Tendulkar holds almost 70 International Records
I really cannot side with the alarmists who try downplaying the achievements of a Cricketer who has probably been the greatest of his era (Brian Lara and Shane Warne are the only serious contenders I can remember).

The records for the most number of Man-of-the-Match awards (60), most runs in a calendar year (1,894 runs in 1998), most centuries in a calendar year (9 in 1998) and most runs in World Cups (1,796 at an average of 59.87) also belong to Tendulkar.
